Tenebrae is an adoration service that is held during the three days preceding Easter Day. The service contains sorrowful readings and the gradual extinguishing of candles. This results in total darkness near the end of the service. This symbolizes the expiring of Jesus on the cross.

Every year the senior class presides over the ceremony. This is one of many senior privileges that they look forward to. Senior Sonny Stanley said he is looking forward to this opportunity, “I am excited, yet nervous”. Mekenna McDonald mentioned that although it can be “an uneasy feeling, it is so peaceful and calming at the same time”. Bella Diehl finds “a deep connection to God and opportunity to pray with God”.

Spring break was March 18 - 22. Some people stayed at home, others went out of state or even country for a trip! Senior Nolan Burkhardt says his favorite part of spring break was "spending time with his family." Junior Allie Hamilton said "I went on a cruise, made new friends, and got tan!" Sophomore Lilly Thomas said "My favorite part of spring break was being able to sleep in." Sophomore Tyson Tremain said "I went to visit my cousins, and I got my permit." It sounds like all the students had a very relaxing and fun spring break!

The Seton Basketball JV and Varsity teams both had a successful season! The Varsity team ended with a record of  17-7. The Varsity team consisted of six seniors, one senior manager, and the rest of the lineup consisted of juniors and sophomores. The Varsity team will be remembered for being one of the best teams to come through Seton High School; as they have won 17 games in the regular season. This record hasn’t been achieved since the 2015-16 season during Desmond Bane’s senior season when the team had the record of 24-4. They also won sectional 56. This championship led to another opportunity for the Cardinals to play the Liberty Christian Lions in Regional finals. Ultimately the Cardinals lost in a hard fought game. We are very proud of our team and look forward to next year.
