The Seton Catholic High School sophomore class held a middle school dance on the evening of April 19, 2024. The class held this dance as a fundraiser for future events for the high school. They successfully sold 50 tickets for the dance making almost $800. The theme of the evening was ‘Spring Has Sprung.’ The gym was decorated with floral arrangements on the tables and adorned with gold butterflies, adding more to the spring ambience. The students danced the night away to music and even had a conga line during ‘Single Ladies’ by Beyonce. There were also snacks served such as chocolate covered strawberries, homemade cookie assortments, chips, and beverages to drink.
Our SCHS teachers Mrs. Evicks and Mrs. Scherschel were in charge of the dance, creating an enjoyable night for the middle schoolers. “I really enjoyed seeing the students dance together. It was great seeing my daughter having a great time as well,” says Mrs. Scherschel. From the input from the students, it seems they had a great time! “I loved dancing and hanging out with my friends” said Laila White. “I liked the conga line we did and being with my friends.” said Colin Murray. We are excited to see more dances in next school year.
