This past week was homecoming week. Our school celebrated with themed dress days throughout the week, a fun Pep Rally before the Homecoming Game, and finally a Homecoming Dance on Saturday. Monday was Labor Day, so there was no school. However, everyone came dressed as Tacky Tourists on Tuesday. On Wednesday, students wore uniform due to a visit from the Archbishop. Students got right back into the swing of things with an Athlete vs. Mathlete dress day on Thursday, along with the Pep Rally. The Pep Rally was organized and hosted by the Junior class. We honored the soccer team and wished them luck during their Homecoming Game. The soccer team then played a game of Tug of War against the teachers. The teachers fought hard but were unable to win. We then announced student council members. They played a fun game called "Sweep the Potato." The Pep Rally then ended with the Band playing our new school fight song, written by Mr. McKinney. On Friday, students dressed in spirit wear and played a fun game of Clue. The winner was Lilly Thomas. The Homecoming Game was Friday night. The soccer team played well, but unfortunately fell short. Many high school students attended the dance that was put on by the Juniors on Saturday night. It was a very fun-filled week!
