French Tennis Open

The French Open which is played at Roland-Garros, is a major tennis tournament held over two weeks at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France. It begins in late May each year. If you win the tournament you could win up to 49,6000,00 euros, which is about 53 million dollars in the United States. This year's tournament starts on Monday May 26, 2024 run through Sunday June 9, 2024. The French open consists of singles, doubles, and mixed doubles play. They are also scheduled to play juniors and wheelchair tournaments.

Some of the major players that will be there are Djokovic, Swiatek, Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, Casper Ruud, Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff. The favorite to win on the men's side are Carlos Alcaraz and the favorite to win on the women's side is Iga Swiatek. Qualifying for the main draw begins on Monday May 20, and the draw will take place on Thursday May 23. Singles play begins on May 26, doubles will begin on May 28, and on Thursday June 6 the wheelchair tournament will begin. The finals are on June 8th and 9th. It should be fun to watch!
