Yesterday, September 28, Seton hosted the first of our four annual blood drives. Many students and community members signed up to give blood and help save a life. "I give blood because it helps the community and saves lives," says Senior Sophie Coyner. If you are able, everyone should sign up to give blood. Every student who signs up for the blood drive receives a free T-shirt. If you donate blood at least three times in high school, you will receive a special Red Cord at graduation to honor you. All high school seniors that qualify for the Red Cord are also entered into a drawing, where five seniors are randomly selected to win a $1,000 scholarship. These reasons, along with the knowledge that you have helped a person in need, all go to show why it is worth it to give blood.
