Baseball Season Wrap Up

This year's baseball team consisted of Seniors: Nolan Burkhardt, Diego Julian, Nguyen Le, Mason Harvey, Sonny Stanley, Sophomores: Tyson Tremain, Jake Himes, Sam Himes, Gio Garcia-Contreras, Braiden Pipenger, Max Harvey, and Freshman: Taeon Tate. Unfortunately the season record was 2-12, but the team has tremendously improved over the season. Over half of the players have never played baseball before or only played when they were little. Senior Nolan Burkhardt said, "It was a rough start, but with all the hard work and time put in, the team really pulled it together and made it a great last season." Some team stats include, Nolan Burkhardt leading the team with a .350 batting average, Mason Harvey leading the team with a .524 on base percentage, Sonny Stanley scoring the only home run of the season, Nolan Burkardt leading the team with 6 stolen bases, and Nolan Burkhardt leading the team with 14 hits and 6 RBI's.The first sectional game will be on Wednesday, May 22 at McBride Stadium, starting at 7:00pm.
