This past Saturday our varsity volleyball team played at Park Tudor for the PACC championship. They played their first game against Park Tudor, and won in two sets 28-26 and 25-12. They unfortunately lost their second game to Greenwood Christian in two sets 25-20 and 25-17. The Varsity team finished third in the conference. Our varsity team is finishing out their season with one more home game and then sectionals. Wish them luck for the rest of their season.

This week's Senior Slay is Robert Bagby. His advice for younger students is, "make sure to balance your time between work and fun." His plans for the future are to, "attend college and study for pre-med with a focus on surgery." His favorite class is Help Desk with Mr. Elstro. When considering his "most slay moment" of high school, Robert said, "being injured every season I played a sport." Robert has played Soccer for two years, Track for two years, and Baseball for one year. A fun fact about Robert is that his nose is not fully attached anymore after he broke it three times, "I can move it around!" said Bagby.

Last Wednesday, September 6, we celebrated our senior volleyball players! The Lady Cardinals played Centerville and swept them in 3 sets. It was a great way to remember senior night. The three seniors are Bella Diehl, Logen Griffin, and Mekenna McDonald. This is Bella's first year of playing volleyball. In addition to volleyball, Bella has also participated in swimming and tennis during her years at Seton Catholic. She is a strong student athlete with a 3.60 GPA. She is in the process of applying to several colleges, but she plans to study nursing. This is also Logen's first year of playing volleyball. She also participated in cheerleading during her years at Seton Catholic. She has applied to many great colleges and plans to pursue higher education and major in Elementary Education. Mekenna has played volleyball at Seton for the last four years. She has also participated in baseball and track & field as well as being a baseball manager during her years at Seton Catholic. Mekenna currently has a 3.34 GPA. She has applied to numerous colleges and plans to pursue a career in pre-law (criminal justice). The seniors will be missed and the volleyball team wants to thank them for all their hard work they put in this season. We wish them all the best and know they will succeed in whatever their future holds. We love and thank you seniors!
