This year the sectional draw resulted in Seton Catholic facing off against Oldenburg Academy. This was just about the worst drawing that Seton could've imagined. Oldenburg Academy is currently ranked 14th in the state of Indiana in 1A. As for Seton, we are ranked 76th in the state of Indiana. All of the fans were expecting a major blowout by Oldenburg. Along with this, we were missing two of our starters, Sonny Stanley and Nguyen Le, due to injury. A lot of the players were also limited on their time due to injuries as well. In the first half, Oldenburg scored one goal off of a questionable call which led to a penalty kick. Seton managed to hold the game to 1-0 for the rest of the second half as well. To Seton, this was a win. From the moment the season began, the Cardinals have improved drastically each day at practice. In a sense, they finally started coming together and playing as a team. Although the Cardinals did lose, I think this was a great way for the seniors to end their high school soccer career. Thank you seniors and to all of the underclassmen who gave them a wonderful final high school season.

This year's Cardinal Classic golf tournament took place on Sunday, September 17, 2023. The Cardinal Classic is an annual golf outing that is an athletic fundraiser for the school. This golf tournament allows the school to raise money while having fun at the same time and enjoying a wonderful day. It also allows students to help with the tournament and receive service hours.

This past Saturday the JHS volleyball team played at Greenwood Christian for their PAAC tournament. Unfortunately the girls fell short of winning the PAAC tournament and came in 2nd place. All of the girls played very well. The team beat Anderson Prep in two sets, and they beat Liberty Christian in two sets. In the championship game they took Muncie Burris to three sets and only lost by four points in the last set. Congratulations to the JHS girls volleyball team.
