Richmond Civic Theatre's Stage One Program is putting on a production of Seussical Jr. Performance dates are March 1-3 and March 8-10. The Friday and Saturday night shows are at 7:30 pm, while the Sunday shows are at 2:00 pm. This show is a great time, and you may even notice a couple Seton students participating. Adeliena Burket and Allison Hamilton are seen as Bird Girls, while Maya Hamilton can be seen as one of the Wickersham Brothers. There are also several Seton Intermediate students in the show, including 5th grader Dawson Jurgens, who is playing the lead, Jojo.

This show brings together several Dr. Seuss characters who tell a fun story through music and dancing. The audience follows Horton the Elephant as he learns about the Whos, a group of tiny people living on a dust speck, and works to rescue them from being harmed. However, the other creatures in the Jungle of Nool do not believe Horton, so he must also try to convince them that he can hear the Whos, and he is not going crazy. It is a super fun show, filled with catchy music and impressive dance numbers. This talented cast has worked very hard on this show, led by director, Allison Blanford, and Assistant Director, Andrea Marsh. The music director is Trudi Weyermann, and the choreographers are Kim Shipley and Alaina Harris. You don't want to miss this! Buy your tickets now at gorct.org. Tickets can also be bought at the box office before the show begins each night.

This season the varsity boys basketball team went 17-8 overall and 3-1 in the PAAC conference, placing second in the conference. The Cardinals were led by Mason Harvey leading in points per game with an average of 21.4, free throws with a 52%, rebounds averaging 12.4 per game, and 3.2 blocks per game. Other leaders for the Cardinals are Tyson Tremain with 3.8 assists per game and Jason Moynihan with 1.3 steals per game. This season came with a lot of injuries. The team proved could power through and figure out ways to make plays and games work without certain players. This season was a long fought season with six seniors, three of whom started most of the season. This season's biggest win took place on 2/17 at Earlham College with a win over the Lincoln Golden Eagles of Cambridge City with a score of 70-21. This year's seniors have fought a great season.

As they go into sectionals they hope they can continue to work hard for a sectional title. Thank you to the fans who have supported the team this year. Thank you to seniors Nolan Burkhardt, Mason Harvey, Diego Julian, Sonny Stanley, Malik Walker, and Andrew Warner. We want to wish the team good luck as they make their way to sectionals on 3/1 at Blue River Valley High School at 6pm.
