Mrs. Meyers gave birth to beautiful Callie Therese Meyers on January 16th! She was 8lbs 2oz and was born at 8:47pm. When asking Mrs. Meyers how Jack and Own reacted to their new sister she stated, "Jack and Owen loved her and always wanted to be around her. My oldest Jack likes to take care of her and wants to help her when she is crying. Owen likes giving her kisses, but is a little jealous of her taking Mom's attention." During all of her free time on maternity leave she spends lots of time with her family. Some things they enjoy doing together are family walks, playing pretend, watching lots of Paw Patrol and of course reading numerous books!

Richmond Winter Farmers Market is held in the Starr Gennett Logo Building on South 1st Street here in Richmond. It is held every Saturday during the months of November to April from 9am to 12pm. They have many vendors that sell produce, veggies, baked goods, jams, plants and other products, such as crocheted animals and other crafts. They also have live music while you walk around and browse. This promotes small and local businesses and farmers. I got a quote from someone who goes to the winter farmer's market. She says, "I love going to the farmer's market and seeing friendly faces. All the vendors are super nice and sweet to me and my children."

The Junior High girls basketball team recently finished their season. While they faced some challenges, they had a great season. We are excited to welcome the 8th grade girls to the new high school team next year. The 8th graders record was 8-6. The 7th graders played two extra quarters after the 8th grade game, so the girls could have some playing experience even though the numbers were limited. The 8th grade team consisted of players Jolie Scherschel, Taryn Tremain, Peyton Anderson, Maddie Patmore, Caroline Swinney, and Lily Heisser. The team faced a struggle when one of their lead scorers, Jolie, sustained an injury. However, the other girls stepped up and worked hard to continue their successful season. Jolie says, "It was a really good season overall and we definitely grew closer as a team, and we did better than the boys." We are so proud of these young ladies and we wish the 8th graders the best of luck next year in high school, and the 7th graders the best of luck as they move up to the 8th grade team.
